Multidisciplinary Webinar Series

Guide to Helping Adults Talk to Children About Sexual Abuse
Tuesday, April 5, 2016 10:00:00 AM PDT - 12:15:00 PM PDT
Our first Child Abuse Prevention Month webinar, this presentation will review multiple books parents and professionals can use to discuss healthy sexual development and child sexual abuse prevention with children.
Amber McKeen, Child Abuse Prevention Trainer, and Kara Klein, Program Coordinator, will review child sexual abuse prevention books designed to assist parents, caregivers, and professionals in talking with children about their bodies, boundaries, using their voice, and more. Each book will be rated on our specialized scale to help participants decide whether to utilize these books with their own children and/or to recommend to families they work with.
