An American Jew in Israel
Thursday, March 20, 2014 12:00:00 PM CDT - 1:00:00 PM CDT
Zipporah “Zippy” Porath, author of "Letters from Jerusalem: 1947-1948" will join us for this exciting, fast-paced program. In addition to reading excerpts from one or two of her letters, Zippy will talk about life in Palestine/Israel during the "fateful year" of Israel's independence—a year that changed history and Zippy's life forever.

Please take a minute to read the letters we have posted on jwa.org and think about what questions you would like to ask Zippy about her experience. There will be time for questions and a brief discussion at the end of the program. You can read the letters here: http://action.jwa.org/page/m/2953cace/6205b299/5c2ae07b/2048076b/3702152708/VEsF/

This is an incredible opportunity to take part in a conversation with a remarkable woman who "lived history." After this program, you'll have many first-hand stories to share with your students.
